Aleiza Higgins joined the High Point University staff as an assistant athletic trainer in August 2019. She works with the M/W cross country and track and field programs.
Before coming to HPU, Higgins was a certified intern athletic trainer at North Carolina A&T State University with volleyball and M/W tennis for the 2018-2019 school year. She also provided secondary coverage to track and field.
Higgins graduated from UNC-Greensboro in 2018 with a Master of Science in Athletic Training degree. As an athletic training student, she had clinical rotations with NC A&T track and field and Wake Forest University football and volleyball. Before her graduate program, Higgins was an assistant cross country and track coach at Walsingham Academy from 2011-2016. She graduated from Marian University in 2016 with Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology (Sport Psychology concentration) and Exercise Science.
Higgins is also a NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
