Meeting with a Counselor to discuss issues pertaining to student-life, personal-life and/or athletics can help you tremendously. The key, however, is being open to freely discussing issues and realizing the counseling session environment is strictly confidential and safe!
Counselors are licensed professionals that can help with performance enhancement as well as general mental health concerns. Whether you would like to overcome performance anxiety in your sport, or discuss symptoms of depression, a counselor provides a confidential opportunity to explore these concerns. Working with a counselor can help you gain insight and guide you toward reaching your maximum potential as a student and as an athlete.
