The High Point University Cheerleading Team is excited to introduce competition to the game day experience at HPU! The roster will carry up to 24 athletes that qualify to cheer at both HPU events and NCA competitions. Look for exciting details about the information meeting, open gyms, and tryouts next fall!
The purpose of cheerleading at High Point University is to promote and uphold school spirit, develop a sense of good sportsmanship and to build better relationships among the community. The High Point University Cheerleaders cheer at all Men's and Women's home basketball games, volleyball games, and select additional games and events. In early March, the team will take several members to represent the HPU cheer team at the Big South Basketball Tournament. Competitions will occur a couple times throughout the season and culminate at the NCA championships in Daytona, FL.
