HIGH POINT, N.C. –– The High Point University Men's & Women's Cross Country teams revealed their 2026 schedules on Friday morning. The men and women will be competing in seven meets combined. The team is seeing some familiar courses this season as both teams revisit Elon's Cross Country Course, and the women revisit WakeMed Soccer Park.

"We are excited to get started on this season," Director of Track & Field and Cross-Country Remy Tamer said. "Our race schedule was put together to give us the best competitive experience leading into the championship portion of the season. Every race plays a role in our preparation. All roads lead to the post season."

Both teams kick off the 2026 season on Friday, September 4 at the Elon XC Opener on the Elon Cross Country Course. The women will be competing in the 4k race at 8:15 p.m. and the men will follow at 8:45 p.m. where they race in the 6k.

The Panthers head to Cary, N.C., to compete in the NC State Adidas XC Challenge on September 16, as the women will race at 5:15 pm and the men at 5:45 p.m. at the WakeMed Soccer Park.

On October 2, the men and women head to The University of Richmond for the Richmond Invitational where both teams will race at Pole Green Park, with times to be announced.

To cap the regular season off, HPU will compete in the Joe Handelman '52 Fall Classic where the Panthers will be racing on the Meadows Campus at Princeton University on October 16.

Big South Conference Championships are hosted by USC Upstate at the Milliken Research Center on October 30. The women compete to seek their 10th consecutive Big South Championship title while the men seek their first title since 2014. Competing at the Milliken Research Center will prepare the team for the NCAA Southeast Regional.

The NCAA Southeast Regional will also be held at the Milliken Research Center, hosted by USC Upstate, on November 13. NCAA National Championships will take place at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind., on November 21, where it will be hosted by Indiana State.
