COLLEGE PARK, Md. — As the season has continued, the High Point University women's golf schedule got tougher by the tournament as the Panthers clawed through all 10 events with a fourth-place finish or higher.
HPU wrapped the regular season on Monday, placing fourth of a 16-team Terps Invitational that featured seven Power 4 schools as the Panthers finished above four — Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State and Notre Dame — while trailing a trio in No. 33 Kentucky, No. 38 Virginia and host school Maryland by only two strokes.
Head Coach Lyndsey Hunnell: ""This is a great finish heading into postseason! This was probably the worst weather this team has endured thus far this season in a tournament setting. They never gave up and they just continue to surprise me with their grit and grind. Every round, they learned from the last and continued to move up the leaderboard."
