High Point Crowned Back-to-Back Team RiverTowne Intercollegiate Champions

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. — For the second season in a row, the High Point University women's golf team has won the RiverTowne Intercollegiate, which concluded on Tuesday after 54 holes of play, at the RiverTowne Country Club. Runner-up Makayla Grubb was the Panthers' top finisher as HPU had three of the top-5 finishers and four in the top-10.

High Point (+33) beat out Coastal Carolina (+46), along with host and Big South Conference foe Charleston Southern (+49), while besting Omaha (+77) as well as fellow conference opponents Presbyterian (+101) and USC Upstate (+117).

Head Coach Lyndsey Hunnell: ""I'm so proud of this group for getting their first win of the season. We've been knocking on the door all year, and it was special to see them finally close it out. With the unpredictable weather and limited practice opportunities, they've stayed focused and intentional with every rep. Their dedication and resilience really paid off this week."
