HIGH POINT, N.C. - With the 2025 season right around the corner, the High Point University Women's Soccer Head Coach
Aaron McGuiness has announced 10 freshmen to the Panthers' roster.
"We have a talented group of players coming in that will add good competition to our returning group," McGuiness said. "A lot of them have played at the highest club level and have a strong competitive drive to be successful."
#1 Grace Shoemaker, 6-foot goalkeeper
Hometown: Greensboro, N.C.
McGuiness on Shoemaker: ""Grace is a talented goalkeeper that will add great competition to our goalkeeper group. We are excited for how her ability transitions into the college game."
#2 Coryn McDonnell, 5-foot-7 midfielder
Hometown: Estell Manor, N.J.
McGuiness on McDonnell: "Coryn is an intelligent box-to-box midfielder. She has developed a lot over the last year and half and we feel she will add great competition to our midfield group."
#6 Faye Battersby, 5-foot-10 defender
Hometown: Putnam, Conn.
McGuiness on Battersby: "Faye is a versatile defender with tremendous athleticism. She has a lot of experience playing for a top nationally ranked club team and we are looking forward to seeing what she can bring to our defensive unit."
#19 Joellie Giquinto, 5-foot-6 defender
Hometown: Medford Lakes, N.J.
McGuiness on Giquinto: "Joellie is a tough athletic center-back. She is a natural leader and we are excited for what she brings to our team and the competition she will bring to that position."
#20 Mazie Monroe, 5-foot-6 midfielder
Hometown: Lebanon, Ohio
McGuiness on Monroe: "Mazie is a composed and technical midfielder that will bring stability to the group. We are excited to see how she impacts the midfield group."
#21 Molly Mack, 5-foot-8 defender
Hometown: Whippany, N.J.
McGuiness on Mack: "Molly is an attack minded outside back. She reads the game well and has good vision. We are looking forward to her getting back to full health and fitness."
#22 Gianna Rizzo, 5-foot-10 forward
Hometown: Parkland, Fla
McGuiness on Rizzo: "Gianna is a dynamic attacking player. She has a good soccer IQ and we are excited for what her athleticism and soccer ability will bring to our attack."
#23 Kyah Montano, 5-foot-6 forward
Hometown: Bellingham, Mass.
McGuiness on Montano: "Kyah is a fearless attacker with a lot of experience in high stake games. She also is coming to us from a top nationally rank club team."
#30 Kennedy Harmon, 5-foot-5 defender
Hometown: Georgetown, Ky.
McGuiness on Harmon: "Kennedy is an attack minded outside back that will add a lot of competition to our outside back group."
#34 Izzy Allred, 5-foot-4 midfielder
Hometown: Paoli, Pa.
McGuiness on Allred: "Izzy is a technical and versatile attacker that has experience playing on a top nationally ranked club team. We are looking forward to what she can bring to our attacking unit."
