HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Big South Conference has announced it's weekly awards for the week of October 12 through October 19 as High Point University's Joellie Giquinto was named Freshman of the Week. 

Giquinto started in both games for the Panthers this week playing a total of 174 minutes in two matches. High Point took home the 2-0 victory over UNC Asheville on Saturday and fell to Radford, 2-1 on Wednesday of last week. 

Both of those matches saw Giquinto tally an assist to help the Panthers get on the board. At Radford, Giquinto sent a free kick into the box which allowed for Sabba Haghgoo to send a header into the back of the net. Over the weekend in the 2-0 win, she was awarded an assist in the 62nd minute on Bella Burr's goal which led to her scoring her first collegiate brace. 

High Point will host Gardner-Webb University on Saturday, October 25 at 4:00 p.m. for Senior Day.
