Overall Standings
CLEVELAND, OHIO — In conclusion with High Point University's 2022-23 Athletic season, The Athletic Directors Association announced on Wednesday, June 28, that HPU finished 21st overall in competition for the prestigious I-AAA ADA All-Sports Trophy.
"High Point University Athletics continues to transform from conference and regional success to national achievement," HPU Vice President and Athletic Director Dan Hauser said. "The 21st finish for D-1AAA universities in 2022-23 represents the third consecutive year HPU has been in the top-25 nationally. Our student-athletes and coaches finished higher than 224 NCAA D-1 universities and we remain focused on developing into a consistent top-100 performer in the Learfield Directors Cup standings. The growth trajectory is very exciting, and we look forward to evolving into one of the nation's leading athletic programs!"
The award is based on the standings of the Learfield Directors Cup where the Panthers finished 139th after scoring points in women's track and field, men's soccer, and volleyball, making it the second highest finish in both the Learfield Directors Cup standings and the ADA All-Sports Trophy standings. In the state of North Carolina, High Point ranked sixth overall out of 19 Division I teams, ahead of East Carolina (147th), UNCG (147th), UNCW (205th), Elon (223rd) and App State (294th).
