HPU last stepped on the court in a neck-and-neck nail-biter against Campbell University. High Point got on the board first with a couple free throws. Less than a minute later, the Panthers converted a Camel turnover to a layup for a 4-0 start to the game. Campbell responded with a three and a jumper to take the lead, kick-starting an intensely close game. The two teams continued to fight for the advantage, tying up the game twice in the first quarter. The Panthers opened the second with a layup from Aaliyah Collins to take the biggest lead seen thus far in the game. A free throw from Nakyah Terrell extended the deficit to seven points only a minute and a half into the second. From here, the Camels went to work, taking advantage of every free throw opportunity, knocking down six of eight from the line to cut HPU's lead down to one by halftime. After intermission, the Camels opened with a jumper to take the lead, followed by a three and a layup for a six-point cushion over High Point. The Panthers managed to cut the deficit throughout the third, tying the game at 32's. A layup from Campbell in the final seconds of the third gave the Camels a two-point advantage heading into the final 10 minutes of regulation. Campbell opened the final quarter with a layup before knocking down a couple free throws to find a six-point lead early in the fourth. HPU battled back, knocking down free throws to take a one-point lead in the final minute of play. Aggressive defense from the Panthers sent Campbell to the line where the team knocked down both free throws, taking the one-point advantage with only 15 seconds left on the clock. High Point aggressively attacked the basket, drawing a foul to send Amaria McNear to the line. McNear handled the pressure well, sinking her first shot, closely followed by a second, giving High Point the lead with only seven seconds left. The Camels attacked the basket with the short amount of time remaining, but a block from Anna Hager foiled their attempts, giving HPU the dub, 48-47.

Elon last went up against the University of Mount Olive. Elon started out hot, finding a nine-point lead before the Trojans made it on the board with a three. From here, Elon buckled down on defense, preventing Mount Olive from scoring again in the first quarter. The Trojans opened the second with a three, doubling their points and cutting the deficit down to 10. Mount Olive managed to knock down three jumpers, giving the team 12 total points for the first half. Despite UMO's increased activity on offense, Elon still managed to hold a 14-point advantage heading into halftime. After intermission, Elon knocked down back-to-back three's to find an 18-point cushion. A layup and another three from the Phoenix gave them an enormous 23-point lead. A free-throw from Mount Olive set the score at 48-26 heading into the final quarter. Elon opened the quarter with a layup and a jumper to secure a 26-point advantage over the Trojans. Back-to-back threes and a layup from UMO knocked the deficit down to 18, but Elon quickly recovered, finding a 27-point lead in the final minute of the game. Another three from the Trojans cut the deficit, but the Phoenix hit a couple free throws to take the victory, 65-39.

High Point last played Elon in the fall of 2022. Elon dominated in the first quarter, scoring more than double the points the Panthers put up, 18-6. HPU managed to flip the script in the second, out-scoring the Phoenix by nine points, solidifying a three-point deficit heading into the break. After intermission, the Panthers went to work, doubling their score from the first half and securing a small lead, 46-45. Elon wasn't ready to give up, however, and sunk a three to tie the game with less than a minute and a half left in regulation. HPU missed a couple layups in the final minute of play leaving Elon with one final possession. With five seconds on the clock, Elon attempted a three, sinking the shot, and taking a three-point lead. High Point found Skylar Curran on the other end, however she was unable to land the shot, leading to an Elon victory, 60-57. Elon's win last fall evened the record between the two teams, with both holding 14 victories over the other. Elon is one of HPU's longest standing foes, with the first matchup between the two teams occurring back in 1993, before High Point secured division one status and joined the Big South Conference.

HPU last stepped on the court in a matchup against Canisius College. The Golden Griffins were first on the board with a three, helping the team to a 10-2 lead in the first three minutes. High Point quickly recovered, tying the game up at 12's and again at 19's after briefly allowing Canisuis a seven-point advantage. In the final five minutes of the first half, the advantage went back and forth between the two teams as the scoreboard saw a tied score five different times with the final tie of the half coming at 35's. Kimani Hamilton scored off a layup before knocking down a free throw in the next possession to give HPU a three-point lead as the game paused for intermission. After halftime, the Panthers clutched a seven-point advantage before the Griffins evened the score at 47's, and again at 62's after High Point found a brief lead in the middle of the second. With five minutes left on the clock, HPU went to work with Juslin Bodo Bodo getting active in the post, putting up six points in the paint for the Panthers. Two free-throws from Duke Miles gave HPU an eight-point lead in the final minute. Canisius attempted a couple threes to cut the deficit, but was unsuccessful in sinking the shots, leading to a Panther victory, 78-70.

Bellarmine University last went up against No. 17 Brigham Young University. The Knights opened the game with back-to-back jumpers for a 4-0 lead over Brigham Young. Bellarmine's lead didn't last long as BYU tied up the game at 12's before blasting off to a 14-point lead to end the half. In an attempt at a comeback, Bellarmine opened the second half with a three to bring the deficit down to 11 points, but the Cougars responded with a jumper and a three to take a 15-point lead with 17 minutes left on the clock. Back-to-back threes and a jumper from BYU extended the deficit to 19. Less than a minute later and the Cougars had increased the deficit even further to 26 points. Despite the huge cushion, Brigham Young did not let up, securing a 40-point lead and 99 points with less than one minute left in the game. The Cougars converted a defensive rebound to a put-back to break 100 points in their final possession. Bellarmine pushed the ball up the court in its final possession in hopes of sinking one last shot, but the team missed the shot, leading to a BYU victory, 101-59.

HPU and Bellarmine's matchup Saturday evening will be the first time these two teams face each other on the court, according to the High Point University Athletics website.
