Panthers Fall in Conference Opener

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's soccer team fell 1-0 in their conference opener Wednesday night against the Spartans of USC Upstate.

The Spartans came out firing as Sydney Thomas scored in the tenth minute of play.

Skylar Prillaman had two close shots on goal but Upstate's defense did not let down.

Morgan Hairston had a few nice saves on the day.
 

Up Next: The Panthers continue Big South Conference play for Family Weekend on Saturday, September 24th. Kick-off is set for 2:00 P.M.
