HIGH POINT, N.C.-- High Point University Deputy Athletic Director Drew Sanchez has been appointed as a member of the NCAA International Student Records Committee, the NCAA has announced. Sanchez will begin serving on the committee immediately, and continue through August 31, 2023. Sanchez is the first HPU athletic staff member to be named to a NCAA national committee in the program's NCAA DI history.
The International Student Records Committee provides knowledge and expertise regarding international educational systems to establish supplemental initial-eligibility policies and procedures, which complement the NCAA Division I and II bylaws.
"It is a tremendous honor to be appointed to serve on the NCAA International Student Records Committee," said Sanchez. "International educational systems can be a difficult issue to navigate and I am excited to work with this committee to help benefit NCAA institutions and future incoming international student-athletes."
The committee is comprised of international academic experts from NCAA member institutions representing both Division I and II schools.
