The Panthers and Seahawks have met six times, HPU is still seeking its first win in the series. The last time the two sides played was back in 2018 where UNCW won 2-0. This is UNCW's first time back inside Vert Stadium since 2004.
A look at UNCW
A season ago UNCW went 7-3 and 4-0 in the CAA. The Seahawks made it to the CAA Championship and finished runner-up. UNCW was led by Morgan Nanni in scoring a season ago as she scored six goals on the season.
Last Time Out
HPU fell to Wake Forest (2-0-0) 3-0 on Sunday night (Aug. 22) in HPU's national television debut on The ACC Network. It was the team's first loss of the young season after playing to a draw with UNCG last Thursday.
Freshman, Megan Garmey made her first start in an HPU uniform as she played 79 minutes and was tasked with defending some of Wake Forest's top scoring options and was able to limit their opportunities.
Skyler Prillaman had two of the top opportunities for HPU on Sunday night as she tested Wake Forest's keeper twice and nearly put the Panthers on the board on two separate occasions.
Week in Review
The Panthers stayed local facing two triad rivals last week in Wake Forest and UNCG. HPU is still hunting for their first win of the season after drawing with the Spartans on Thursday and dropping a contest to the Demon Deacons on Sunday night.
