Big South Championship-Friday, April 16th- vs. Campbell (High Point, N.C.)
The High Point University women's soccer team (10-0) will host Campbell (7-3-1) at Vert Stadium on Friday night for the Big South conference tournament championship. The Panthers are coming off of a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Longwood in the Big South conference tournament semifinals, securing their 10th straight win.

The Panthers are off to their hottest start in program history with a 10-0 record through the first 10 games. The Panthers have been outshooting their opponents 160-67, scoring 29 goals, also a program-best through the first 10 games of the season. HPU's scoring offense is currently ranked fifth in the nation averaging 3.00 goals per game.
Noticed in the Nation
After receiving top 25 votes in the Top Drawer Soccer poll for five straight weeks, the Panthers are currently No. 24 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll. HPU is also currently ranked No. 24 in the College Soccer News poll. HPU has also been ranked #8 in the United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region and is receiving votes in the national poll for the first time in program history. The Panthers are currently top 10 in the nation in six different categories including scoring offense, goals-against average, save percentage, won-lost-tied percentage, points per game, and penalty kicks.
The Sam Show
Sam Gerhart is coming off of her third multi-goal game of the season. She led the Panthers to a 4-1 victory against Longwood as she scored three goals, for her second hat trick of the season. With 10 goals on the season, Gerhart is now fifth in the nation for goals per game and point per game. Gerhart has been selected as Big South Offensive Player of the week four times this season and has also been selected to the National team of the week twice. Gerhart has also been named Big South offensive player of the year.
Brick Wall Defense
The Panthers are heading into Friday with seven clean sheets in 10 games. The team has only surrendered three goals on 67 shots in the previous 10 games, with only 32 of those shots being on target. Morgan Hairston has been in goal for the Panthers making 29 saves over the previous 10 contests. HPU's defense is currently ranked 14th in the nation in shutout percentage.

- Campbell is coming off of a 3-1 victory over Radford. Hanna Mansson, Jessica Donald, and Cazzi Norgren each scored a goal in the win.
- The Camels finished the 2019 season with a 13-4-2 record. Campbell's season came to an end in the Big South Conference tournament championship as they fell to Radford by a score of 3-2.
- Campbell is led by Samar Azem who is in her fourth season as the head coach of the Camels.
