The High Point University women's soccer team (4-0) welcomes Gardner-Webb (2-2) to Vert Stadium on Wednesday night. The Panthers look to continue their strong start to the season, most recently coming off of a dominant 5-0 victory over UNC Asheville.

Salome Starting off Strong
On Tuesday (March 2nd) Salomé Prat was named the Big South Freshman of the Week for the second time in just three weeks into this season. Prat's goal against Campbell provided the Panthers some extra space as she scored just 46 seconds into the second half to make it 2-0. Prat helped the Panthers improve to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in Big South.
Brick Wall Defense
The Panthers are heading Wednesday after securing four clean sheets in as many games. The team has only surrendered 17 shots in the previous four games, with only ten of those shots being on target. Morgan Hairston has been in goal for the Panthers making ten saves over the previous four contests.

High Point has not lost a regular-season conference game at home since October 23, 2018.
Across the Bench
- Gardner-Webb is coming off of a 1-0 victory over Presbyterian College. Jada Newton scored in the 15th minute to secure the victory for the Bulldog's second conference win of the season.
- The Bulldogs finished the 2019 season with a 10-11-1 record. The red and white made it to the Big South Championship and fell to Radford by a score of 2-1.
- Gardner-Webb is led by Mike Varga who is in his seventh season as the head coach of the Bulldogs.
