CLINTON, S.C.--The High Point University women's soccer team defeated Presbyterian in a spirited 5-0 team effort that saw five different Panthers contribute. Skyler PrillamanChloe Le Franc, and Emily Mashinski scored in the first half to give HPU a 3-0 lead at halftime. Magdalena Schwarz and Juliette Vidal added goals in the second half as HPU picked its third Big South win with a 5-0 road victory on Saturday (Oct. 2) night.

Brandi Fontaine: Tonight, was a great win and total team effort. To get every player that traveled with us on the field was huge! I was extremely proud of our continued efforts to execute in the final third. Leaving here with five different goal scorers says a lot about how strong we are. I believe the team is starting to see all the hard work pay off that they put in over the preseason. Their confidence is rising and it's exciting to see them believing in what they are capable of as a group.

HPU kept the pressure on even after the first goal adding two more shots one from Mashinski and one from Schwarz in the 6th then 12th minute as HPU looked to add to their lead.

The Panthers found a second goal in the 19th minute as Le Franc scored her second goal in as many games. The grad student put her Panthers up 2-0 just 20 minutes into the contest on the road in Clinton.

From graduate students to freshmen it was a full team effort, ten minutes later, Mashinski added the third goal of the night for the Purple & White. Her early shooting in the first half paid off, Mashinski now has two goals and an assist so far on the season.

HPU took a 3-0 lead into the break at halftime.

18 minutes into the second half, HPU found its fourth goal of the evening as Schwarz scored to put High Point up 4-0.
