HIGH POINT, N.C.—High Point women's soccer continues its current road slate with a trip to Richmond this weekend, facing off with the VCU Rams on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Â
The Panthers are coming off a loss to UNCWÂ from the previous week, after opening the season with a 4-0 rout of visiting Appalachian State. The Rams will enter Friday's contest at 1-1-0 as well after likewise losing to UNCWÂ at the start of the season, and producing a recent 1-0 overtime win against Charlotte.Â

• After just two matches, eight Panthers currently hold points in the young 2018 season, with

• A true freshman has had a hand in all but one of HPU's four goals this year
• Over 90 minutes played, in two contests, senior goalkeeper

Brie Deel's tally against Appalachian State was the first of her career, as the junior has played a team-high 147 minutes over the course of two matches
• Two of the Panthers' four goals against App State came off of corner kicks, as HPU is averaging five corners per contest

• Senior goalkeeper Audrey Sanderson recorded the 12th shutout of her career in VCU's shutout win over Charlotte this past Sunday
• Junior midfielder Rachel Hardy scored the lone goal of her team's meeting with the 49ers, scoring an overtime tally in the 94th minute
• The Rams are 1-1 after dropping an opening night decision to UNCW 3-1. They are being outscored 3-2 this season, despite their shot total of 23 sitting even with opponents

• HPU currently trails its all-time record against VCU at 0-1-1, but has not played the Rams since 2012, nor lost to the side since 2002
• Both of High Point's prior meetings with VCU have taken place in Richmond
