HIGH POINT, N.C.— In its final Saturday match of the season, High Point University women's soccer will say farewell to four Panther seniors this weekend, while competing in this year's homecoming match against UNC Asheville.

Charlotte Kennedy will all be suiting up for their final weekend competition at the Vert, as the four look to help the Panthers toward a second straight conference victory. After starting the season with a 1-5-1 record, HPU has gone 3-1-2 since September 9th, while outscoring opponents 12-6 in the process.Â
While the Bulldogs are on a two-game winning streak against the Panthers, HPU has lost just one of its last seven matches against UNCAÂ in High Point, N.C. Asheville enters the weekend without producing a single winning result since September 2nd, with its lone win of 2018 coming at home against Citadel.Â

Saturday night will also be the Panthers' homecoming match, with the first 100 spectators in attendance receiving homecoming t-shirts and the first 50 High Point alumni members receiving a free cup.Â
Free fireworks will be available for all in attendance, with festivities starting immediately upon the conclusion of the contest.
On the Panthers
• Four different Panthers scored for HPU in the side's 4-1 victory over Presbyterian this Wednesday, with freshmen

Shaylyn Owen securing the first goals of their High Point careers

Skyler Prillaman scored her fifth goal of the year against the Blue Hose gives the freshman a team-high, and places her in a tie for fourth in the Big South
• The Panther defense has allowed an average of one goal per game over its previous seven contests, posting a pair of shutouts against James Madison and Campbell during that time
• 12 of HPU's 18 goals this season have come from Panther freshman, while all but two of the remaining six have been assisted by a first-year player

Emily Lyon has given up just a single goal in her last five appearances between the pipes, recording a goals against average of just 0.30. Her 0.79 GAA for the season currently sits atop the Big South rankings
• The Panthers have been nearly unbeatable when playing at home at the Vert this season. The club's record in High Point is 3-1-1 in comparison to its 1-4-2 record on the road, and outscore opponents 12-3 at Vert Stadium

On the Bulldogs
• UNC Asheville is yet to garner a victory on the road this year going 0-3-2 away from its home field, getting shutout three of five matches when playing visitor
• The Bulldogs' 7.78 saves per game rank 11th in Division I women's soccer, while goalkeeper Courtney O'Malley ranks second and 17th in saves per game (9.40) and save percentage (.887) respectively
• Freshman midfielder Gillian Oyos is the only player on the UNCA staff to have scored multiple goals on the year, her five points overall are a team-high

• The Panthers are 11-9-3 against UNCA all-time, and are 6-1-0 against the Bulldogs at Vert Stadium, dating back to 2005
• While Asheville is currently on a two-game winning streak against HPU, both matches ended in 1-0 finals. High Point's last victory against UNCA came on a 3-0 shutout in Asheville in October of 2015
