Editor's note: The Panther Club's Student-Athlete Excellence Fund provides the resources for High Point University student-athletes to become champions in competition, the classroom, and in the community. It is during this time of year that the Panther Club recognizes the outstanding classroom performances of High Point University's extraordinary student-athletes. This year we honor 22 HPU student-athletes who have achieved a 4.0 GPA in 2014. HIGH POINT, N.C. - Meet
Jamie Schnuck, a junior from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. She competes as a thrower on the women's indoor and outdoor track & field teams while majoring in exercise science. After graduating, Jamie plans on attending medical school to become an emergency room physician. Jamie holds the school record for the women's weight throw in indoor track and field competition with a throw of 50' 8.75" (15.46m). She set the mark on Jan. 17 at the JDL Winston-Salem State Open.
Jamie is truly a champion in competition and the classroom.
