The High Point University women's soccer team got a late goal by freshman Laura Shupe to secure a 1-1 double overtime tie against Presbyterian on Wednesday in Big South Conference play.
HPU moves to 7-3-5 overall on the year and 3-1-1 in Big South play with the draw while Presbyterian goes to 3-8-2 (1-3-2 Big South).

High Point scored less than 10 minutes later as freshman Laura Shupe netted her second goal of the season to knot the score at 1-1. Shupe scored from just in front of the net after collecting a ball that was pinballed around the box.
HPU outshot PC by a 19-7 margin including a 10-3 edge in the second half and overtime. The Panthers also led 6-2 in corner kick attempts. Five different High Point players recorded multiple shots in the game with junior Laura Eldridge leading the way with five shots.
