High Point got goals from Wendy Williams, Carolyn Bader and Eileen Mazeika en route to a 3-1 win over Charleston Southern Saturday afternoon at Albion Millis Stadium.

The Panthers improve to 3-8-3, 1-2-3 in Big South, while CSU falls to 2-11-2, 1-3 in league play.

HPU got on the board first with a goal from Wendy Williams off an assist from Ryan Hays in the 11th minute. The Bucs tied things up minutes later when Tennille Bennett fought through the Panther defense and slotted it past High Point keeper Katie Smith for the goal. 

The Panthers retook the lead for good in the 43rd minute. Bader scored the game winning goal off a pass from Jen Evans.  HPU would seal things in the 52nd minute when Eileen Mazeika picked up a loose ball from 20 yards out and shot it past Bucs keeper Kaylan Olds.   

HPU outshot the Bucs, 18-10.

The Panthers will be back in action Wednesday when they travel to Durham to take on Duke. High Point's final home match of the season is set for Saturday, Nov. 2, against Wofford.  Game time is 7:00 pm.
