Greg Flesher

In his three seasons, Flesher has led the Panthers to seven top-5 finishes including a win in the Joe Agee InvitationalĀ  in Williamsburg, Va. HPU has earned three medalists honors in the last three seasons with Chase Wilson winning the Joe Agee Invitational and the Donald Ross Intercollegiate in 2012 before Jack Sides won the Cape Fear National Intercollegiate in 2015.

HPU golf has produced two All-Big South players under Flesher. Chase Wilson was All-Big South Team member in the 2012-13 year. Wilson had a High Point's Division I program-best scoring average of 72.5. Jack Sides claimed all Big South honors after his sophomore season when he averaged a scoring average of 72.65. Sides' 72.65 scoring average is the program’s second best D-I scoring average and was an 3.27 stroke improvement after a 75.92 average his freshman season. In addition to the individual play, the team had a school record 54-hole score of 856 at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate in October 2013.

In his first season at Pfeiffer in 2010-11, Flesher helped the Falcons' men's golf team improve to fourth in the Conference Carolinas Championship after placing eighth the season before. The following season, every one of Flesher's returning men's golfers improved. Five Pfeiffer golfers improved by at least three strokes per round.
In addition to Pfeiffer's improvement in the Conference Carolinas, the men's team set a program record for best one-day score (-11) in the final round of the Pfeiffer Intercollegiate at the Badin Inn Resort & Golf Club in Badin, N.C., in the fall of 2011.

Pfeiffer's women's golf team placed third in the Conference Carolinas in both of its seasons under Flesher's leadership. The team featured three All-Conference members in 2012.

A certified PGA Instructor, Flesher spent over a decade as Head Golf Professional at both Owensboro Country Club in Owensboro, Ky., and Eagle's Nest Country Club in Somerset, Ky. He taught over 40 students who went on to play collegiate golf. Flesher was also responsible for managing several other aspects of each country club along with the teaching programs. While at Eagle's Nest, his teaching programs produced two Kentucky state championship high school golf teams.

The students who Flesher helped prepare for collegiate golf went on to record many impressive accomplishments. Matt Atkins, who went to Div. II USC Aiken, won the 2012 NCAA Super Regional.Ā  Two of Flesher's students went on to play in the Southeastern Conference: Johnny Cain and Derrick Centers. Cain was a top-five player for Kentucky and Centers played as a top player for Tennessee, finishing 11th in the SEC Championship in 1998.

As a player, Flesher competed in two Club Professional National Championships and competed in NGA Mini-Tours. He was three-time Central Illinois PGA Player of the Year. He played for Georgetown College in Georgetown, Ky., and won 10 collegiate tournaments. He graduated from Georgetown College with a degree in Business Administration and Economics with a minor in Public Communications.

Flesher is married to HPU women's golf coach Vici Pate Flesher.Ā  The two reside in Thomasville, N.C
