April 17, 2012 – Brotherton sets HPU record at Big South Championship

Senior Curtis Brotherton set a new HPU Big South Championship record with a four-under 68 in the second round of the conference tournament at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety-Six, S.C.

Brotherton recorded six birdies on the day including one on a 25-foot putt at the ninth hole, his final of the day, to turn in the lowest round of his career. The senior broke HPU's previous Championship low round of 69 which was achieved three times including once by Brotherton on 2010.

Brotherton ended his final Big South Championship with  a two-over 74 on Wednesday to finish in a tie for 18th with a score of 220 (78-68-74) over the three days.
