Oct. 7, 2011 - Volleyball sweeps Liberty in front of packed Millis Center crowd

The High Point University volleyball team hosted Liberty on Oct. 7, 2011, in a rematch of the 2010 Big South Conference Championship. Panther fans packed the Millis Center and helped High Point to a 3-0 sweep of the Flames.

Three Panthers put up double-digit kills to lead HPU to the 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-16) win in front of 708 fans. Freshman Kristin Heldt led the team with 11 kills while classmate Chelsea Davis and junior Courtney Johnk posted 10 kills each.

HPU led from the beginning of every set and held off late runs by Liberty in sets one and two. It was the first conference loss for the Flames. Liberty went on to win the 2011 Big South Tournament.
