Neither team was able to build a lead larger than four points as the Panthers earned a hard-fought 26-24 win in the first set. When HPU needed it the most, Barnes came through with four kills in just six attack attempts.

But in the second frame, High Point used the momentum from winning the first set to jump out to a 15-5 advantage. From there, the Purple & White cruised and after Broadstreet and Hefner combined for a block to close out the 25-12 victory.

Broadstreet and Chin, then, carried that Panthers to a 25-12 win in the third set to close out the team's first road triumph. Broadstreet posted five kills and four digs in the set while Chin racked up nine digs.

The Purple & White will be right back on the floor as they wrap up the Red Flash Classic with a match against Fordham at 4:30 p.m. Saturday evening.
