MacDougall joins men’s golf recruiting class

HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point University men's golf head coach Greg Flesher has announced the signing of Brendan MacDougall, he will begin play in the fall of 2016.

"The addition of Brendan to next year's team is a huge lift for us," Flesher said. "The freshman class next year will be the most talented High Point has seen in years, if not ever. Brendon isn't the longest hitter in the world, but he knows how to play the game and compete. I can't wait to get Brendan on campus as his work ethic will fit right in with the other freshman and team leaders we have now."

MacDougall, a native of Calgary, Alberta, comes to HPU after playing for James Fehr at Central Memorial High School. He won the 2016 MJT Srixon season opener in March. MacDougall's father, Robert, was a national champion in badminton while his mother, Shelley, played softball at Ohio State University.
