HPU takes part in Greensboro Walk/Run for Autism

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University men's lacrosse team took part in the seventh annual Greensboro Walk/Run for Autism held by the Autism Society of North Carolina on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The Panthers were represented by all 44 members of this year's squad and raised a combined $3,670 for autism research as the event surpassed its goal by raising over $50,000. The Purple & White have participated in the event held on UNCG's campus since the program started in 2011.

"We have participated in the Greensboro Run for Autism the last five years," associate head coach Pat Tracy said. "The guys have done a tremendous job in raising money and awareness to help support children with autism as well as their families. They have made a huge impact on the Autism Community in the Triad through their support."

The student-athletes enjoy the chance to give back to the community by participating in the fundraiser.

"We went as a team to the Run for Autism 5K that we do every year," senior Adam Seal said. "We raise money and try to get some guys up there in the front and just support the fight against autism."
