HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University athletics department will launch the HPU "Send-A-Kid" program in 2014-15 to help Triad-area youth experience the excitement of High Point University men's basketball.
"Send-A-Kid" is a new initiative at High Point University designed to help support disadvantaged youth in our local communities. A $45 tax-deductible donation allows children from across Guilford County and the Triad to attend a season of High Point men's basketball free of charge. These tickets will be distributed to Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Boys and Girls Club, as well as a number of other youth outreach programs within the Triad.
"This program gives us a chance to bring kids from the community to our games and show them a great experience they may not be able to get otherwise," assistant athletic director for marketing
Dan Clark said. "Our community is vital to our success and we want local youth to be able to attend our games on a regular basis."
Why Donate?• Provide an unforgettable basketball experience for local youth
• Help create a new generation of Panther fans and spread HPU pride throughout the Triad
• Tax deductible donation benefits local non-profit organizations
