FINAL RESULTS

The High Point University women's golf team shot a combined 343 in the third and final round of the JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational in Orange Park, Fla., on Tuesday to finish in 17th place with a three-day score of 1003. Freshmen Audra McShane shot a team-best 84 in the final round to finish tied for 74th with a three-day total of 244 (79-81-84). 

McShane turned in the top Panther round on each of the three days to earn her first top finish of the season. Freshmen Jessica Neese, Kristina Wagner and Danielle Lamy all finished in a tie for 87th with identical 56-hole scores of 253. Neese had the second-lowest round of the day on the team with an 86, while both Wagner and Lamy each shot 87. Senior Lisa Chandler matched Neese's final-round 86 to finish with a three-day total of 258 which put her in 95th. 

South Florida shot 299 in the final day to pass Central Arkansas for the team championship. The Bulls finished the event with a three-day score of 898. Illinois finished in second place with a total score of 904 while Central Arkansas fell to third with a score of 906. Kennesaw State had the lowest round of the day, shooting 296 as a team to slide into fourth with a three-day total of 907. East Carolina and Stetson rounded out the top five, finishing tied with identical combined team 915. 

The Illini's Hailey Koschmann led from wire-to-wire, shooting 75 on the final day to finish the event with a 56-hole score of 214. Three-strokes better than Chattanooga's Emma Da Groot, who finished second, and six-strokes better than East Carolina's Abby Bools, who finished third. 

The Panthers return to action on Monday, March 15, when they head to Rock Hill, S.C., to play in the Winthrop University Intercollegiate. The two-day event will be played at the Rock Hill Country Club.
