High Point University and the HPU women's basketball team will host the 2010 Big South Women's Basketball Tournament at the Millis Center beginning Friday, March 12, and running through Sunday, March 14.

The tournament will kick-off on Friday at 12 p.m., when No. 1-seeded Gardener-Webb takes on No. 8 UNC Asheville in the first of four quarterfinal matchups. The other quarterfinal matchups are No. 4 Charleston Southern against No. 5 Coastal Carolina at 2 p.m., No. 2 Liberty vs. No. 7 Radford at 5:30 p.m., and No. 3 High Point vs. No. 6 Winthrop in the final game of the day at 7:30 p.m.

The semifinals will take place on at 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., and the Championship game will be played on Sunday at 2 p.m. The winner of the Big South Championship receives an automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.

Tournament passes are available for $20, while single session tickets cost $8 for the lower level and $6 for the upper level. Tickets can be purchased by calling the HPU Ticket Office at 336-841-9276.
