Opened in 1992, the Millis Athletic and Convocation Center is considered one of the best facilities for volleyball in the Big South. HPU has hosted the Big South Volleyball Tournament at the Millis Center twice, in 2000 and in 2015 and will look to host the 2022 tournament on November 19th and 20th.

Originally, the Millis Center was built as the home of men's and women's basketball and volleyball but over the years, the facility has underwent many renovation changes. In 2008, the Millis Center underwent a major renovation that included a new floor, seating, the addition of four state-of-the-art video boards and a new sound system. The volleyball team locker room was renovated in 2009 and the men's and women's basketball locker rooms were refurbished in 2012. In the summer of 2010, the men's and women's basketball office suite underwent a complete renovation. The offices were renovated again in 2018 along with the locker rooms for both basketball programs.

After the completion of the Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center in the fall of 2021, Millis transitioned to only housing volleyball, as men's and women's basketball moved to the arena.  In January of 2022, a new floor design was structured specific for volleyball. The volleyball coaching offices also moved into the old men's and women's basketball offices and later that year in August, the men's and women's basketball locker rooms were converted into the volleyball locker room and lounge area.
